A New Voice for Lehi

Earlier this year, I had the chance to attend a city council meeting where the discussion surrounded the need to remove the safety officer from the junior high. I am sure there were tough discussions that went into that decision, but it got me thinking about our city and the current economic situation. My hope is that if I am elected, I’ll have the chance to work with our mayor and council members to find ways that we can not only weather the storm, but find ways to help this community flourish by finding new, innovative ways to bring money into our community.

I believe it is the job of our city government to:

  1. Protect the interests of its citizens and, in so doing, be transparent and accountable
  2. Provide a clean and safe community
  3. Open the way for growth and development that protects the interest of our citizens and keeps the community clean and safe
  4. Collect taxes and manage the use of those funds in a responsible way while maintaining transparency and accountability

I’ve been living in Lehi for the last two years with my wife and daughter and have come to realize that we live in a very special city in a special time. I hope that whoever gets elected to guide Lehi at this time can embrace the changing environment and fuse the older traditions of our city with the many new citizens who move here to add to the greatness of our community.

I promise that if I’m elected I will take the experience I have as a businessman, as a husband and father, and as a citizen of this great city to represent the citizens of Lehi to the best of my ability.
